one last question: will the virtual iscsi target created by nosan bypass the 2TB storage limit imposed on the vm size using the local storage? What I mean is, can I create vm with more than 2TB disk size?

You would be limited to whatever limits there are with a xenserver iscsi SR

That's what is confusing me a bit, of i read this doc: docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenserver/7-1/downloads/config-limits.pdf the limits for the vm are clear at least until you use NFS or lvm but you formally expose a iscsi target.
I guess the 2TB limit is still in place and I should merge 2TB volumes as dynamic disks on windows to reach the desidered size.

Am I right?

Right. Looks like lvm is limited to 2tb
