We have two pools in production. One with the reported problems from the October patch set and another pool with the patch level from September. I have repeated the maintenance task described in my article on both pools several times and it is reproducible:

I could carry out tests on the weekend with copies of some production VMs with both pools, if it is possible to save the current configuration status beforehand and restore it if necessary.
