HA deliverables update window 10 years 2 months ago #184

Hello,
Doing update I had some issues:
1. In step 7 and 12 there is no directory /etc/iscsi-ha/RPM/`uname -r` after update. As I understand, we first have to copy new directory to /etc/iscsi-ha/RPM/
2. Step 9 and 13 I got:
service iscsi-ha start -w
/etc/init.d/iscsi-ha: line 27: /dev/shm/iscsi-ha-mail/count: No such file or directory
Starting iscsi-ha: [ OK ]
Starting iscsi-ha-watchdog: [ OK ]

I just ignored the error.
Another thing - how to perform ha-lizard update?

Regarding steps 7 and 9 - if you first upgrade the iscsi-ha component, that will place the DRBD RPMs in the correct place for all kernel versions. To upgrade iscsi-ha, simply run the install script as if it were a fresh install. The installer will recognize that it is an upgrade and prompt for keeping your existing configuration.

This error "/etc/init.d/iscsi-ha: line 27: /dev/shm/iscsi-ha-mail/count: No such file or directory" is safe to ignore. We store an iteration count in RAM when the service is running. If the data is not present in RAM, it will get created automatically on startup. This error should be suppressed. We will make a change to do so in the next version.

Regarding upgrade of HA-Lizard - as with iscsi-ha, simply run the installer on top of your existing configuration. When prompted to insert default parameters into the configuration database, select "no" and your current configurtation will remain.
