OK So I'm back to having the Shared iSCSI virtual disk storage created and it's syncing up now.




Once it's done syncing is there anything else I should do?



Is there a "best way" to shutdown the pool so I can clone the bootable USB drives that are running the hardware?

Not much to do other than enable HA
"ha-cfg status" will do it.

Default settings have HA enabled on ALL VMs. You may want to change that for a production system and enable only for VMs that require it.

Should I wait for the storage to complete it's sync, or is it fine to enable it now?

you can enable it while the sync is happening. I would not try any simulated crashes until the sync is complete.

You can also create new VMs while the sync is in progress. Performance will be degraded due to the sync.
