mount usb disk 8 years 2 months ago #677

Hello,

Is it possible to mount an usb disk for backup purposes?
In affirmative case, what is the procedure to do this?
Should I disable the halizard service?

thank you!

HA-Lizard (just the HA component of our 2-host cluster solution) is not aware of any mount points, so, there is no need to disable HA.

iSCSI-HA (the storage management portion of our 2-host cluster solution) has static references to only the storage it is managing (DRBD and underlying block device). So, here also there is no need to stop or change anything as any mount points outside of its configuration are invisible.

SO, you should be able to mount anything outside of the storage mentioned above with no issues. Not sure about the exact procedure though. That is more of a XenServer question.
