noSAN Installer without converting local storage 8 years 1 month ago #723

I'm trying out HA-Lizard and I'm a little confused about the converting local storage step. What I would like to accomplish is install this on a system that already has several VMs on it, so I really don't want to lose them.

Is this possible using the noSAN installer or do I need to install the software manually to make this happen? Or do I just need to export all my VMs and put them back afterwards?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

The installer script is intended for new installations only. The install process WILL wipe a portion at the beginning of your storage and then DRBD meta data will be written to the end of you disk. You will no longer be able to see you VM disks after that.

Exporting your VMs is the way to go unless you have some spare HW.
