Can you verify that xapi0 is the correct interface being used for replication? How?

how can i perform the test again the vms are running on the master now and the the slave won't connect

which log do you want to see for the master?

you can live migrate the VMs back to the slave and then re-conduct the test.

regarding the logs.. Both ha-lizard and iscsi-ha are needed. It would be easier to grab all of /var/log/messages and parse for the needed logs or simply send the whole file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

have you checked to ensure that the firewalls are configured correctly on both hosts?

i went over everything in the how to with a fine tooth comb. everything was set properly. i couldn't wait anymore so i started from scratch now for a third time. Currently i have my master and slave running and the ISCSI SR setup and configured. Once i configure two VM's id like to start some DR testing again but don't have a good feeling about it. I was wondering.

If i have two VM's running on the slave and pull the plug on on it. I should see:

1. vm auto migrate to master
2. before i restart the slave should i put the master in manual mode or do any other tasks before introducing the slave back into the pool?

Just to recap the last time i did this the vm's did not start on the master until i rebooted the slave. In addition the ISCSI pool became inaccessible from the slave. and refused to reconnect even after verifying all setting and configurations. Just don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about pulling the plug again.
