Hi guys,

I would like to build XenServer (v6.5) cluster with 2 hosts and without shared storage.
I would like to have full failover: if one host fails, another will take over.

Is this possible with NoSan framework? If I understood the concept of NoSan correctly, it takes both local storages and makes them as one? (which means if I install new VM, it will be installed on both physical server hard drives?)

Can someone please explain me that?

Thanks,
Denis

Our reference design document provides more information on how the system works.

In short, the storage is replicated in real time between both hosts. So, each host always has an up to date VM disk. If host A fails, all the data required to start it is on host B. DRBD is used for the replication.

So is it enought to achive that if I implement NoSan framework only (on xenserver 6.5) or I have to add something else?

Thanks

Correct. Nothing else is required other than 2 hosts with local storage
