Hello again,

I was searching in the forum about the ha-lizard and the new version of xenserver 7.3... the only that I found was a comment about the incompatibility of storage migration.

but is not so clear to me.

1 - Is actually the ha-lizard 2.14 y ha-iscsi 2.15 compatible with xenserver 7.3 ???

2 - Do you recommend install the ha-lizard with 7.3 or 7.2 and wait a time to make the upgrade ??

thanks and attentive

The choice is ultimately yours. HA-Lizard will work with 7.2 and 7.3.

The issue with lack of storage migration in 7.3 is not an incompatibility. The feature has been removed from the XenServer Free Edition by Citrix in 7.3. There are many forum topics on the Citrix public forum that are centered around Citrix's recent decision to modify their license and remove many important features from 7.3.

If you don't anticipate moving VMs between pools, then you will likely not need storage migration.

Regarding your other post about an in place installation (I was unable to respond directly to that topic for some reason so am answering here).

We do not have a documented procedure to perform an in-place installation when the servers already have data on them. We have done this before, but it is dangerous if you are not comfortable with all the software and storage layers involved.

The general procedure is something like this:

- Modify our installer so that several validations do not fail (host count, replication network, host is part of a pool check, and maybe one more)
- Install on the first host (THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA ON THE SR)
- Move your data from the second host to the first host.
- run the installer on the second host (THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA ON THE SR)

Again - this is a dangerous procedure.
