Hello

Trying to setup a minimized version
Is it possible to use ha lizard and scsi on a two node pool without the vm bridge??
I mean using 3 nics only...As. ..

Nic0 management

Nics 1,2 bonded for drbd and iscsi .

What should change from the default install with four nics? ??
.
I didn't find enough docs to understand the importance of the vm bridge Nic and configuration of it.

Can you provide some details in that regard too?
Thanks

this would be a valid configuration. No changes are needed from the refernece design/default configuration. In your case your VMs would be forced to use the management interface for thier virtual adapters.

Thank you
It's just a first go at it on a
Micro-atx M.B.
E6600 cpu for each member in pool..
For a few xp/7.

One last question .??
After making the ha lizard and Scsi install..
Is it possible to add a third server to the same pool just for the sake of importing some vms into the master slave nodes and remove third server from the pool afterwards??
Or
Is it possible to install ha lizard scsi on a master server that already has vms? ?

Yes -you can add a third server. The third server will need to have the same network and storage interfaces configured. Also, the replication links will need to connect through a switch so that all 3 servers have access to the storage floating IP.

Installing HA-lizard and iSCSCI-HA on a host that already has VMs is safe as long as you do NOT try to convert the storage with your VM images. I would discourage this approach as a mistake could destroy your data.

There is a simpler and safer approach you can try. Create your new pool and leave your host with the VMs as a single host standalone pool. As long as the HW is compatible you should be able to live migrate VMs to the new pool. The storage images will be migrated to your new pool in this scenario and there is no downtime or complex comfiguration to deal with.
