Correct - it is normally NOT /dev/cciss.

/dev/cciss is common for some HP RAID controllers.
Generally you will have something like /dev/sdb - but cannot tell for sure since it is specific to your system.

OK so once that is completed and both servers are up and running I'd like to clone my boot disk (USB)

I have a process to do this already in terms of the cloning. Is there a recommended shutdown / start process that should be followed to avoid a Split Brain scenario.

I have some experience dealing with DRBD and ideal, just "shutdown -h" should work for the first host, and wait for it to complete.

Then shutdown the second host with the same command.

Power one host up and wait until it's accessible and usable. Then power on the other.

Is that correct?
